Growing With Grace

At Growing With Grace, you will learn the history of Grace Community Church, what we value as a church body, the various ministries we offer and how you can be empowered to serve in the giftings the Lord has given you. 

Day & Time: Saturday, January 17; 10am-2pm

CONNECTION MINISTRY OPPORTUNITIES

Growing With Grace, The Membership Process

Purpose: Opportunity for people to pursue membership at Grace or learn more about Grace.

• Offered quarterly. Team-led, campus-specific process including an initial All Campus Event plus three Sunday morning sessions at their campus.
• Growing With Grace is structured to give Grace Elders and Members the opportunity to invest and use their gifts and passions, allow Grace and attendees to be very intentional with relationship building and info sharing throughout the process, and provides active accountability for those who do decide to join Grace.

Second Sunday

Purpose: To share information about Grace and serve as a great connection point for guests to begin building relationships within Grace. Time Commitment: Every Second Sunday

• Led by Campus Specific teams; Offered every Second Sunday at the OJ Campus. Will extend to the Athens and Lindale campuses when space becomes available.
• Second Sunday is offered on Sunday morning.

Sunday Morning Connections

Purpose: Love and serve every person who comes to Grace on a Sunday morning from the time they enter the parking lot until they are on their way home. Includes:

• Greeters (love people at the doors),
• Hosts (provide direction and answer questions),
• Ushers (greet each person entering worship).

Commitment: One Sunday per month. Plus sending a letter out every month encouraging each volunteer in their walk with Christ, and includes a monthly ‘focus’ for the ministry they’re involved in. This letter also includes a schedule with the date the volunteer serves that month.

Connection Conduits (CC)

Purpose: Initiate a coffee/lunch meeting to begin relationship building with guests who are new to the area. Time Commitment: Varies. On average, once every other month.

• The Connection Conduit does not call someone again after two calls. We just want the Guest to know that we DO value them and DO want to connect with them, we don't want to hound them. Their response to that offer is totally their choice.
• What the CC does beyond the meeting is totally Spirit led and up to the CC. If this is someone they PERSONALLY would like to build a relationship with and are able to, they just go for it. If not, their purpose is to get to know them for the purpose of serving them. CCs do this by asking if there’s anything they are wondering about the area or if they have any questions about Grace, and letting them know some great next steps they can take to get plugged in at Grace (Community Groups, Second Sunday, Bible Studies, etc).
  
  This position exists to really serve people who are new to the area in helping them adjust to their new life by answering any questions they have and letting them know they are NOT all alone in this new place. "How can I help you connect in the place you are in?"
