Grace Community's Care Ministry consists of several ministry teams. If you are Interested in putting your gifts into action please contact the Care Ministry of Grace Community Church.

 

Prayer Team

Our Prayer Team is focused on bringing the current and specific needs of our people before the Father. Join the Weekly Prayer Team or Prayer Chain; Matthew 7:7. Interested in serving? You can begin receiving weekly prayer requests by email today. Contact our Care Ministry for more information regarding our Prayer Team.

What We Do

  • Pray on our own for new needs each week

  • Pray “on the spot” for time-sensitive situations

  • Get together on occasion to interceded

  • Lift others up, expecting God to act

  • Support our church leaders through this quiet ministry

Who We Are

  • People who want to learn/experience the power of prayer

  • Intercessors

  • Those with the spiritual gift of faith

  • Prayer Warriors

  • Those who feel a burden to spend time and energy carrying others to the Lord

  • In our private times of prayer

Hospital Visitation Team

Caring for and reaching out to those who are sick and their families; Matthew 25:3. Interested in serving? It's as simple as receiving details by email when people are in the hospital and visiting those that you can. Contact our Care Ministry for information about joining the team.

What We Do

  • Visit members and non-members who are hospitalized

  • Sit with families during surgery and times of medical crisis

  • Incarnate the love of Christ mostly through simply showing up

  • Meet practical needs (food, housing, tasks) for those who are hospitalized

Who We Are

  • Mercy-gifted believers

  • Helpers/Servants

  • Compassionate-hearted folks

  • People who care about those in pain

  • Encouragers

  • Those who enjoy sharing the hope of Jesus

  • As needs arise

  • As available

  • In our hospitals—rooms and waiting area

  • On the phone

Memorial Service Team

Bringing comfort to those who have lost someone they love by providing a warm memorial service including music, hosting/greeting and a family meal; 2 Corinthians 1:3-4. Interested in serving? We'll get you involved in practical ministry to people who have lost a loved one next time the need arises. Contact our Care Ministry for more information on how you can serve.

What We Do

  • Greet, welcome and direct guests

  • Provide music for services

  • Speak and/or lead memorial services

Who We Are

  • People with a Shepherd’s heart

  • Compassionate, caring individuals

  • People who are willing to enter into another’s hurt

  • Burden-bearers

  • People with musical skills

  • People with speaking gifts

When We Serve

  • As needed, as available

  • Usually have 2-3 days notice

Where We Serve

  • At the church

  • At the funeral home

  • At the graveside service

Widow Care Team

Caring for the widows in our church through practical tasks and compassionate friendship; James 1:27. Interested in serving? Put your listening ears and helping hands to work caring for the women without husbands in our church. Contact our Care Ministry for more information about how to get involved.

What We Do

  • Light “handyman” tasks

  • Change lightbulbs and batteries

  • Reach things on a high shelf

  • Sit down and listen for a while

  • Lawn care

  • Simple plumbing, wiring jobs

Who We Are

  • People with the gift of Helps

  • People who value our older women

  • Kind-hearted people who like to listen

  • Get-it-done types

  • Those with plumbing, electrical or construction skills

When We Serve

  • As needed, as available

  • On Sats or Suns

  • In the evening

Where We Serve

  • At the homes of our widows

  • At the church

  • Wherever needed most
